Though this is quite obvious, online gambling allows you to enjoy the experience from the comfort of your couch. But, there are a few things you should know about online gambling. Operating a gambling website in the United States is illegal. Therefore, any reputable site will be off-shore. This can make the decision to gamble online, well, a gamble (But, that’s what it’s all about, right!?). It can also make resolving a dispute in your favor difficult as the customer service can be lacking. Also, gambling for real money online can be addictive.
The overall concept of Blackjack, also known as 21, is fairly simple. Combined decks, known as a shoe, are shuffled together (usually 6 to 8 decks) then dealt to the player(s) and the dealer. An ace combined with a 10, Jack, Queen, or King is a natural Blackjack. This will pay out somewhere around the neighborhood of 2 to 3. If the dealer is dealt Blackjack all the players lose if they were not dealt Blackjack as well. If you are not dealt a Blackjack on your first two cards, you will have the option to hit or fold. This is where strategy should be employed.
Though trying to get as close to 21 seems to be a safe option, your best option is to make the dealer bust. Knowing how many cards are left in the deck and what their values are is key to this. There will be a problem with that if the website doesn’t show that information. Usually you’ll want to assume the dealer’s hole card is a 10. If the dealer’s up card is a 3 through 6, letting the dealer hit is a good option. Depending on your cards, you may want to hit even if the dealer is showing a bust card (3 through 6). One example would be if your total is 11 or less.
There is much more to Blackjack strategy than what is listed above. Make sure to do your own research to give yourself the best chance of winning and have to the best online gaming experience possible!
