About Levante Gambling Trends

Levante Gambling Trends is an independent online magazine for adults who are curious about gambling and want it explained without the sales voice. We write about online casinos and slot design, the basics of sports betting, poker, lotteries and the wider culture around them, and we try to do it in a level tone: what a product is, how it works, what it costs the player over time and where the sensible limits sit.

What you will find here

  • Casino and slot explainers on return to player, volatility, random number generators and bonus terms, such as our piece on how online slot payouts work.
  • Sports betting basics: odds formats, moneylines, parlays and what a sportsbook actually does with the prices it sets.
  • Poker, starting with the rules of Texas Hold'em and the simple card maths behind them.
  • Lottery articles that show how the odds are calculated rather than how big the jackpot looks.
  • Trends and lifestyle pieces on technology, regulation and how people fit gaming into ordinary life.

How we see gambling

Casino games, betting markets and lotteries are all designed so the operator finishes ahead once enough play has passed. Nobody is being cheated by that; it is simply how the business works, and we think readers deserve to see it plainly. So our articles name the margin, show the arithmetic where it is simple enough to show, and never suggest that a system, a streak or a lucky moment can turn gambling into income.

We also accept that plenty of adults enjoy a flutter, a poker night or a lottery ticket as entertainment. We do not lecture. We would simply like that entertainment to be chosen with open eyes and paid for out of money that was meant for fun in the first place.

Who is behind the site

A handful of writers produce the magazine, each signing with a pen name. Not one of us holds out a professional title, licence or qualification, and we do not present our articles as legal, financial or medical advice. What we offer is careful reading of rules and terms, honest explanation, and a willingness to correct ourselves when we get something wrong. You can read more about the principles behind that on what guides our work.

Things we do not do

  • We run no casino, sportsbook or lottery, and we take no bets.
  • We do not offer tips, picks or guaranteed strategies.
  • We do not hold or handle anyone's money or account details.

Some older articles in our archive mention outside websites. A mention is not an endorsement, and gambling law differs a great deal between countries, so it is always your responsibility to check what is legal where you are.

Adults only

Every page here assumes a reader of at least 18, and older still wherever local law raises the bar. If gambling has stopped being enjoyable for you or someone close to you, our page on gambling safely describes the warning signs and the first steps worth taking. Questions or suggestions are always welcome through our contact page.

What we cover

Four corners of the magazine

Each section follows the same habit: explain the product, then show its cost.

  • Casinos and slots

RTP, volatility, random number generators and the fine print behind promotions.

  • Sports betting basics

Odds formats, moneylines, parlays and how a sportsbook builds its prices.

  • Poker

Rules first, then the card maths and the rake that every table pays.

  • Lottery

Jackpot odds worked out from simple combinations, not from the advertising.

Pen names, plain roles

The small team writing here

Four writers, each with a corner of the magazine to tend. Nobody here holds or claims a title or licence.

  • Seraphine

    Casino games and slot design

Reads paytables and game information screens so the numbers behind a theme are easy to find.

  • Caspian

    Sports markets

Covers odds formats, bet types and the way sportsbooks shape their prices.

  • Mareike

    Poker and lottery

Writes the rules guides and works out every combination count by hand before it goes live.

  • Rafferty

    Editing and safer play

Trims hype, adds missing caveats and makes sure every piece ends with a word on limits.
